Self-pay session fees range from $0-$250.00 session.
Groups start at $45.00
ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS:
Lockport Mental Health Counseling accepts all major credit cards and cash. We are currently unable to accept health insurance of any kind. It is our office policy that a valid credit card be kept on file for all private pay clients. We are not currently in network with health insurance providers.
A cancelled appointment hurts three people….you, your therapist and another client. Therapy sessions are scheduled in advance and are a time reserved exclusively for clients. When a session is cancelled without adequate notice, I am unable to fill this time slot by offering it to another current client, a client on the wait list, or a client with a clinical emergency. In addition, I am unable to bill your insurance company for sessions that are not kept.
All privately insured and self pay clients will be charged a fee of $80.00 when an appointment is missed or cancelled without giving 24 hours advanced notice. This means that if an appointment is scheduled for 3pm on a Tuesday, notice must be given by 3pm on Monday. You can cancel your appointment by leaving a voice mail. Please note that text reminders are provided as a courtesy to our clients and you as the client are ultimately responsible for keeping track of and attending your scheduled appointments.
The only time we will waive this fee is in the event of serious or contagious illness, power/internet loss (for telehealth appointments) or extreme weather.
Missed appointment fees will be automatically charged to the credit card you have left on file for us and have given permission for us to charge.
Treatment may be reevaluated and/or terminated when any client misses 3 or more consecutive appointments or is frequently missing appointments over the course of treatment.
Please note that if you miss two scheduled intake/first-time appointments for any reason we will not be able to schedule a third intake appointment. We are happy to provide you with some outside referrals if you wish.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Therapy is an opportunity to discuss/talk about issues that are important to the client, while having a trained objective person (Therapist) help work through not only the current situation but in dealing with similar situations in the future. Therapy can be about one specific problem, or it can be about multiple. Something to mention, is that therapy is a collaborative event, it requires an active role from both the client at the therapist for change to occur.
